Chao Tzu

1 1/2 lb. ground turkey
3 lbs. Chinese cabbage
1/4 lb. fresh shrimp or canned drained and rinsed
4 Tbsp. soy sauce
1 Tbsp. salt
4 Tbsp. oil
1 1/2. tsp accent
1 1/2 tsp. salt
Won ton Skins

Pre-cook cabbage in boiling water for 4 minutes. Rinse in cold water and drain. Squeeze excess water from it and chop fine. Chop shrimp. Mix all ingredients together, like meatloaf. Wrap 1 tsp. of the mix in won ton skins. Have a bowl of water handy to seal the edges. The easiest way I found is folding the 4 corners to the middle and sealing with wet finger. Cook in oil until golden brown on both sides. These freeze great!

The Whys Of It

My wonderful mother-in-law, Carma gave me the best gift when I was first married to her son - A recipe box full of recipes. I have used these recipes over and over and thought I would give the same gift to my kids when they got married. However, technology has made me lazy. I can type it once, label it, put our moderation's in it (we deal with diabetes, allergies and many food preferences - you will not find many fish recipes or recipes with nuts on this site) and then my kids will have a copy of it wherever and whenever they want.
